Lochan Lal Amatya, President
Mr. Amatya is Master of Engineering on Electronic Processing Computers. Since 1986 till date he is working in Nepal Telecom. He is involved in the computerization activities of Nepal Telecom from the very beginning. He has been involved in in-house development of software systems from Billing, Cash collection, Customer Care functions of Nepal Telecom. Besedes his responsibility in Software development he is heading Computer Networking and Maintenance team. He is currently Deputy Manager in the Office of Managing Director of Nepal Telecom.
He was the President of Computer Association of Nepal (CAN) for Year 2000-2002 and 2002-2004. He had worked as National co-ordinator for ITU RAS project for Telecom Software Development. Besides his academic study, he has taken various IT related short-term courses in different parts of the world. He is also working as computer consultant to various organizations. Suresh Kumar Regmi, Immediate Past President
Mr. Regmi has been working in the Information Technology (IT) field since 1982 and also has been a short-term consultant to the FAO. He started his career from the National Computer Center (NCC) and also has the experience of teaching at Kathmandu University (KU). He is the Chairman of the IT Subject Committees in Kathmandu University (KU), and Member of subject committees in Tribhuvan University and Pokhara University. He has also held the responsibility of the General Secretary of the Computer Association of Nepal (CAN) in the past. Mr. Regmi has been responsible for the development af application systems in various national projects such as the Population Census (1991), the Integrated Voters Registration System (IVRS), the Election Results Information System (ERIS), and the Games Management System for the Eight SAF Games. He is the Principal System Analyst to System Analysis and Logical System Design of Income Tax Project of GTZ for Inland Revenue Department.
He is currently the Managing Director of Professional Computer Systems Pvt. Ltd. (PCS), a leading software development and ICT consulting company in Nepal established in 1988. PCS has successfully accomplished and implemented a number of turnkey e-governance systems in Nepal such as VAT, Income Tax, Voters Registration, Election Results Information which incorporates large databases and dynamic web information systems. PCS specializes in financial application systems for corporate sectors and has to its credits some of its key products such as BankPlus, HospitalPlus, SharesPlus and Mobile Solutions. Jyoti Tandukar, Vice President
Mr. Jyoti Tandukar is an Electronic Engineer with a diversified professional experience in computing, teaching, and publishing. He is an Associate Professor in Tribhuvan University, and specializes in transformation of processes through computer graphics software. He is also the CEO of Alternative Technology, a software company shoes products are well recognized in custom rug business community world wide.
His Galaincha Suite of Products for Carpet Business is being used in 10 states of the USA, and 12 countries across 4 continents, while Computer-based Answer Sheet Examiner has been successfully implemented in Institute of Engineering and Ministry of Education Entrance Examinations.
He possesses an excellent academic record, and has received of many honors, awards, and scholarships. His distinction in M.Sc. has won him lion Laboratories Prize for Best Overall Performance. He has been a member of International Advisory Board of Asia Pacific Symposium on Information and Telecommunication Technologies - APSITT 2005 (Myanmar) and APSITT 2003 (Noumia), and the co-editor of the Proceedings of APSITT 2001.
As a Visiting Professor to School of Art, University of Washington, Seattle, he has taught two workshops and provided independent consultation on the use of Galaincha Software. He has served as the Technical Expert on various short term assignments to many government institutions and corporations.
He possesses two national patents on color matching, and texture processing. His CORE Computer Magazine and CORExpress are recognized as the pioneer native computer magazine of Nepal.

Shashi Bhattarai, General Secretory
Mr. Bhattarai is CEO of Development Dynamics Pvt. Ltd., Nepal, and had served as Chief of the Special Projects and Coordination Branch at the Nepal Industrial Development Corporation (NIDC), also headed the South Asian Development Fund (SADF) Secretariat and IT Branch at NIDC. Mr. Bhattarai has Experiences with a wide range of private and public sector project identification studies, feasibility studies, appraisals and financing. His fifteen plus years of experience includes execution of projects financed by local consortia of financial institutions as well as those supported by bilateral, multilateral and international agencies.
Mr. Bhattarai specializes in Multi Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) and is involved (2005-2007) in Specific Targeted Research Project under European Commission Sixth Framework Programme Project DIM-SUM (Innovative Decision Making for Sustainable Water Management in Developing Countries; Contract Number: 510905 INCO) form Nepal as Decision Support Expert. The DIM-SUM project consortium involves partner institutions from five European and four Asian countries. Mr. Bhattarai is also member of International Organizing Committee of International Symposium on the Analytic Hierarchy Process (ISAHP) 2005 Hawaii and ISAHP 2007 Chile, (www.isahp.org).
Mr. Bhattarai has received many awards including the Joint Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program (JJ/WBGSP) award, the UNDP fellowship, as well as performance recognition award and letters of appreciation from NIDC. Mr. Bhattarai is Vice-chair of ICT Committee of Nepal Engineers Association (NEA).

Bijendra Suwal, Treasurer
Mr. Suwal has a Bachelor`s degree in Science from the Tribhuvan University. He has participated in a number of training programs on Computer Applications and management. He started his professional career as a Programmer at Data Systems International and has developed various application software. He started his banking career by joining NABIL Bank in 1992 as programmer, System Department. Now he is working as a Senior manager, Head Information Technology at Nepal Indosuez Bank/ Nepal Investment Bank. Apart from implementation and support of Banking Software he is responsible for all IT based system including Card system with deployment of Automated Teller Machine (ATM) and Point of Sale (POS) terminals. -Top

Prashant Lal Shrestha, Secretory
Mr. Shrestha has been working in the Information Technology (IT) field in Nepal since 1993. he is currently the Chairman of the Academy of Information Technology Pvt. Ltd. (AIT). He started his career as a Computer Instructor in a private computer training institute and then went on to become a Computer Lecturer / Teacher / Consultant for some IT Colleges and schools. He has been involved in the curriculum development of the three year Diploma course in Computer science (a vocational training course) designed by the Center for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) and the curriculum development for the Human Resource Development Program designed bye the ministry of Science and Technology (MOST). He was also involved as a team member of the task force formed at High Level Commission for Information Technology (HLCIT) to prepare a concept paper for the ICT Education in Schools. He was a consultant for the monitoring and evaluation activity of the Human Resource Development Program conducted under the then Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) now Ministry of Environment, Science and Technology (MOEST). He has been involved with Center for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) for developing the curriculum and Job specification and skill test for different categories of professional course in ICT. Currently he is a member of the Technical and Negotiation Committee at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) for the computerization of Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE).
Mr. Shrestha has received a training award on Project Management for System Development by the Center of the International Cooperation for Computerization (CICC) in Japan and has been honored with the Excellent Achievement Award. Mr. Shrestha has been responsible for the Application System Development for various projects such as the Welfare management System of Nepal Telecommunications Corporation (NTC) and the Clinical Management System of ADRA Nepal.

Rajesh Kumar Shakya, Executive Member
Rajesh Kumar Shakya, M.E. in Computer Engineering (with honors) and Fourth position in S.L.C. Board Examination, is an expert in the design and implementation of e-Business Solutions (B2C, B2B) and e-Government Solutions, Business Process Re-engineering (BPR), Enterprise Knowledge Management, Content management Solutions and Collaboration solutions. Mr. Shakya is the three times winner of the best Entrepreneur in Information Technology award under the Boss Top 10 Business Excellency award in Nepal. He was the recipient of award - the Mahendra Bidhya Bhushan.
He drafted the revised IT Policy 2004 and developed Integrated Action Plan for IT development in Nepal and contributed in e-governance framework development for the government of Nepal. He was the architect of the first e-Procurement Portal of the government of Nepal - www.bolpatra.gov.np. He has participated in many national and international seminars on e-commerce, e-governance and other areas of ICT as the speaker or resource person. He is actively involved in the IT awareness activities in Nepal and abroad.
He has led many n-tier client/server systems and Internet, Intranet and Extranet and Mobile based development projects as Project manager using Visual Studio .NET, Visual Basic, Visual C++/MFC/ATL, ASP, PHP, MTS, COM/DCOM, J2EE, SQL Server, mySQL and Oracle for International clients.
Mr. Shakya is the Chairman/CEO of Hitechvalley iNet Pvt. Ltd. - the first ISO 9001:2000 certified Software Company in Nepal. Hitechvalley iNet has implemented several world-class e-solutions for its clients in the USA, Canada, UK, Denmark, the Netherlands, Japan, Korea and other countries.

Shiv Bhushan Lal, Executive Member
Mr. Lal has a Master of Technology degree in Management and Systems from the Center for Management Studies of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), New Delhi and a master of Science degree in Computer Science from the Order of the lenin Lvov Polytechnic Institute, USSR. He started his professional career as an Assistant Executive Engineer in the Nepal Telecommunications Corporation in 1982, worked as Regional Director / Manager of different regional offices of Nepal Telecom and headed the Computer Department as a Manager Since 2002. He is involved in the planning human resource development, and computerization activities of the NTC and in the implementation of various telecom projects. He has taken various IT related courses conducted in different parts of the world. He is also an associate faculty member of the Faculty of Management, Tribhuvan University & ACE Institute of Management (Pokhara University) and teaches courses in Management Information System, Decision Support System, Project Management and Marketing Communications to the students in the Master of Business Studies program. -Top

Khusbu Sarkar Shrestha, 43, is a graduate of Malaviya National Institute of Technology, India and ahs been involved in ITC field for last 17 years. He owns and runs three successful ITC companies in Kathmandu. eMOTION P Ltd. (in Collaboration with Global Ingenium, Helsinki, Finland) is Nepal`s pioneering and leading multimedia production house that has designed and developed over 300 CD-ROM titles for corporate and INGO`s. Multimedia CD-ROM produced by the company for Nepal Tourism Board has won prestigious PATA Fold Award for the year 2000 and 2006. PATA is the world`s biggest tourism body. Another company belonging to him-New World Enterprises (NWE) is a business associate of Satyam Computers of India. NWE develops software for local market and has also been rendering software related services for various Japanese, German and US firms. The third company XE Pvt. Ltd. Offers ITC trainings to top level corporate executives.
Currently Mr. Shrestha is the Regional Director, Asia for Stoffel Holding, a leading venture capital company in Germany.
